제9회 부산 인터시티 영화제가 개막합니다. 올해 영화제가 선보이는 프로그램은 '인터시티', '드로잉시티', '부산', 그리고 '레지던시'입니다. '드로잉시티'에는 대만 '타이난'을 기반으로 만들어진 작품과 함께 포럼 '공원 감각'이 준비되어 있습니다. '인터시티'에는 10개 도시의 로컬시네마와 함께 홍콩에 기반한 아티스트 플랫폼 '시네무브먼트', 그리고 홍콩 국제 댄스 비디오 페스티벌 '점핑프레임'과의 새로운 교류를 담았습니다. '레지던시'에는 프랑스 '칸', 필리핀 '퀘존'을 배경으로 부산의 창작자들이 제작한 신작 두 편이 최초로 공개됩니다. 2017년부터 이 제작 프로젝트를 통해 세계 곳곳을 오가며 26편의 신작이 제작되었습니다. 제작의 조건을 고민하고, 마주한 현실을 영화로 옮겨내기 위한 창작자들의 진심과 노력으로 만들어진 성과입니다. 올해 영화제가 도시와 도시 사이에서 창의적 네트워크를 실현하며 선보이는 새로움에 많은 관심 부탁드립니다.

The 9th Busan Inter-City Film Festival Begins. This year's festival presents four key sections: Inter-City, Drawing City, Busan, and Residency. The Drawing City section features works rooted in Tainan, Taiwan, along with a special forum titled Park Sensibility: vividly empty city (空園感覺). In Inter-City, we showcase local cinemas from 10 cities, and introduce new collaborations with Hong Kong-based artist platform Cinemovement and the Jumping Frames International Dance Video Festival. In Residency, two brand-new films created by Busan-based filmmakers will have their world premiere. These works were filmed in Cannes, France, and Quezon, the Philippines. Since 2017, this production project has facilitated the creation of 26 new films across different cities worldwide. It stands as a testament to the sincerity and creative determination of filmmakers who have grappled with the realities of production and transformed them into cinema.
